Data
Logging for the 1764-LRP
General enquiries / Order
requests
The
NEW 1764-LRP
processor has 48K bytes (48 x 1024) of additional memory for
data logging purposes. Within
this memory, you can define up to 256 (0 to 255) data logging
queues. Each queue is configurable by size (maximum number of records stored),
and by length (each record is 1 to 80 characters). The length and the maximum
number of records determine how much memory is used by the queue. You
can choose to have one large queue or multiple small queues. The
memory used for data logging is independent of the rest of the processor memory.
Each record is stored as the instruction is executed and is non-volatile (battery-backed)
to prevent loss during power-down.
To
enable users to retrieve data from the LRP via a PC, 2 simple Data Log Capture Applications
have been developed. The applications are currently in Beta format but
the final copies will be posted to our Web page for free download.
For
your reference below are labeled builds of the ML1500 LRP Data Log
Capture Application
to support Win32 and WinCE.
These are release candidates and should be
tested in a variety of configurations. They are identified as R3.B1, or version
3.0.0.1. The
Win32 version has been run on WinNT 4.0, Win95, and Win2K machines.
The
WinCE version has only been run on the HP Jornada 680, but is built for H/PC Pro
2.11 and may run on other targets.
The
MicroLogix 1200 and 1500 Instruction Set Reference Set (1762-RM001B-US-P
April 2000) has
also been updated to provide a good
but
it can also be downloaded from The
Automation Bookstore Web Site.
