RSView32 Add-in's

Trend
Reporting Option
ISAS
Automation systems have developed a RSView add-in that allows a user to select
any four tags from any datalog object model and produce a trend display. This
display provide viewing controls, x-axis range controls.
The
printing is controlled and the user can nominate how many pages the report will
cover. You could select to print several weeks of data onto one or many pages.
This will print to any system printer colour of black and white. If colour is
not available, the printout will use line types to differentiate plots on the
printout.
This
software provides many advancements over the standard printscreen capability
currently available.
PSTN
dialup modem SCADA
ISAS
Automation systems have developed an application where a central RSView32 SCADA
can receive dialup modem connections from remote RSView sites. The software has
the following features:
-
TCP/IP
protocol
-
Identification
of the remote calling site
-
Automatic
uploading of the remote datalog files at midnight so the trends can be
analysed from one location
-
Automatic
modem checking and resetting if error or lockup exists
-
Fully
integrates with RSLinx Gateway and Windows NT Remote Access Services
-
Reports
errors to the alarm summary
-
Provides
operator controls for manual connection to a site
-
Allows
realtime datalogs created while the operator is online to be seamlessly
integrated with the uploaded evening data
-
Display
the connection status of the SCADA at each end
-
Similar
functionality for RSView32 direct to PLC
|
This
application has been used for SCADA where the central RSView32 is used in
conjunction with PLC's connected by PSTN dialup modems. Here the stored data in
the PLC is uploaded at midnight and the data is formatted into the standard wide
format datalog files. There it can be viewed using the standard trend tools. The
system works with most PLC's and when used with the ISAS 24vdc industrial modem
it enables data and alarm transfer during power outages.
