Type Tests
The FORM 4 system has been tested by Testing and Certification Australia for:
|
Construction
The Modular system is manufactured from 2.5mm mild steel frame and accurately
fabricated 2.00mm and 1.6mm standard components. The cubicle parts, doors and
covers are formed from the highest grade zincanneal sheet steel, that when
assembled forms a rigid robust structure of uniform appearance. The modular
doors are lift off design and seal on a neoprene gasket around all edges. The
doors are latched by chrome plated locks with stainless steel tongues or with
plated pan head screws. The assembly sits on a 75mm or 100mm galvanized channel
base. Lifting facilities are provided at the top with certified lifting eyes
and/or through the base as requested.
Paint Finish and Colour
The FORM 4 system has a very tough ripple powder coat finish providing
aesthetic appearance. The standard finishes are Grey N42 and Light Grey RAL
7032. Special colours are completed to order.
Technical Description
The Modular FORM 4 system is available in the following frame sizes:
|
Construction can be Mild steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel or PGI. A 75mm or
100mm channel iron base is standard.
The standard heights for Motor Control
Centres are 9, 10 or 11 modules(1980mm plus base). A module height is 190mm.
Compartments - fully segregated compartments can be formed in various sizes:
|
Cable zones - A cable zone may be located on either side of the drive tier.
Cable zones are available in 200mm, 300mm, 400mm or 500mm widths and provide
clear front and rear access.

Notes:
-Above ratings are based on a 25 ºC
rise over a 35 ºC ambient. The above stated ratings are maximums based on
typical CFS, MCCB, Contractors, Thermal O/L relays etc. The type and number of
auxiliary equipment may affect module ratings.
The Switchboard can be designed for:
|
Starter module connection via a
robust 3 or 4 pole insulated bus plug and tinned vertical busbar system.
Earthing contact for the cell is via a full length earth bar and earth contact
is made on the cell prior to the unit being connected to the busbars.
Control wiring to each module can be
via plug-in 10 or 20 pin reliable connectors or wired to terminals.
